Place a sensor (wired or wireless) on each entry point (door or window).
Use Motion and Glass breakage as a secondary sensor. For me, I have a motion sensor in my downstairs living room. If somebody enters from my master bedroom (downstairs), the motion sensor wouldn't catch it. My master bathroom as a large window. I have a glass break sensor there. The "powder room" in the master suite has a sensor on the window. Many people will go with motion and glass to cover a large area with multiple windows. But, when you arm to "stay", these sensors are not activated, thus you can be in your home and somebody gain entry through unprotected doors/windows! |

For me, I already have an alarm installed in my home. Thus, my issue will be a "swap out" of the panel and keypads.
I have purchased a Concord 4 Panel and 3 keypads. My current system has 2 keypads, 6 zones with 1 zone for both doors and 1 zone as a motion sensor. I have purchased a glass break sensor for the master bath and master bedroom. I have a motion sensor downstairs and will add one upstairs. All windows have wired sensors already. Main Panel has a locking door and the backup battery is there as well. Adding the 2-way or cellular monitoring as a primary or backup way to send alarm signals. |
